Update:The Downing Street Memo: Proof of what we knew, Bush is a LIAR!! What happened in the Hearings

Rep. John Conyers had hearings on this topic today:

British intelligence officers, in high level cabinet meetings said what we knew: that President Bush was intent on attacking Iraq and that, "the intelligence and facts were being fixed around the policy." What's important about this is that it's now down on paper, on an official memo, that Bush knew that his evidence wasn't credble and yet he still used it to decieve the Congress and the American people to take us into war. The cost of this deception, 1,677 U.S. troop deaths (with over 10,000 wounded), over 25,000 Iraqis reported killed and nearly $200 billion dollars spent so far. Does this sound like stronger grounds for impeachment then getting blow jobs and "dipped" cigars in the Oval Office? If you think so then please sign Congressman Conyers petition to start a Congressional inquiry into the facts behind the Downing Street memo, before the next war begins...

Can't Stand Gays and Porn, and Gay Porn? Have I Got a Phone Company for You!!!

Here's a unique phone company; they give telemarketing calls that begin, "Hi, I'm the mother of three, and I don't support gay marriage. If you don't support gay marriage press one." Once you press one you get a pitch to join a phone company that "supports your values." They go on to tell you about all of the sinful, depraved things that the other phone companies do (like contribute to the ACLU and Gay organisations), to get you to join up. Check out a couple of the calls that recieved and comedian recorded.

"Ignorance is Strength"- Bush Administration Enviormental Policy

It has been reported that Philip A. Cooney, chief of staff for the White House Council on Environmental Quality has consistently revised government climate reports to downplay the human caused contributers to global warming. Why would Mr Cooney do that? Well, maybe it has something to do with the job he had before Bush appointed him: "'climate team leader' and a lobbyist at the American Petroleum Institute, the largest trade group representing the interests of the oil industry." Well maybe he's knowledgeable and interprets the evidence differently with his knowledge. Maybe not, he's a lawyer with no scientific training. Maybe Bush feels that we need to find out more about Global Warming before acting because his staff keeps all those uncomfortable facts away from him...

Updated again: It's on Again: Updated: 50 Cent throws The Game off the G-Unit Bus

50 Cent calls The Game "disloyal," and tosses him out of G-Unit. This is on top of his feuds with NAS, Fat Joe and, of course, Ja Rule. The Game wouldn't get involved in those other beefs, so now the beef's between the two of them. The Game has his own battle with Jay Z brewing and probably needs the cache of G-Unit more then 50 needs The Game's contribution to him. On the other hand, if Dr. Dre decides to roll with his signee instead of with 50, then the excumunication starts to damage both sides. Hopefully the industry consequences are all that we have to consider. There has already been a shooting between the camps (and maybe two shootings, in one night, the night that the split was announced!). Hopefully the violence can stay lyrical going forward and we get to see a pretty good battle between two of the newer stars in the game...

Update: They've made up now to "set an example for the community."

Protests Leads to Violence in Ethiopia

At least 22 people were killed and 100 were injured during protests of the nation's disputed election. Ethiopia's ruling party, the Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF), is accused of rigging last month's parliamentary election by the protesters and by the oppisition party, the Coalition for Unity and Democracy (CUD). Ethiopian Security Forces shot into the crowd of protesters that gathered in support of the CUD. Read the full story here.

Did You Know- 9/11 and the FAA Tapes

What was on the tapes that the FAA made of interviews with air traffic controllers that were in contact with the fateful planes on 9/11? We'll never know because they were destroyed before being heard, transcribed or copied. My favorite quote is:

"The destruction of evidence in the Government's possession, in this case
an audiotape -- particularly during times of national crisis -- has the effect
of fostering an appearance that information is being withheld from the
public."

"Appearance that information is being withheld from the public?" Information is being withheld from the publc. "Why?" is the question that we need to answer...

Wages keep falling, but at least we've got more millionaires...

There are now 7.5.million millionaire households in America, a record number.For the rest of us wages are falling at a rate not seen since 1991. If you want a society where the super-driven and the super lucky are rewarded (along with the generations that follow them) and the rest of us slide towards poverty then you're in luck cuz we're almost there. If Social Security can just get blown up too we'll finally have a society where fairness and the social compact means, "fend for your damn self!!!"
